The Process
Looking to book garments for your wedding? Here's our guide to hiring your wedding day suits from Sergios Formal Hire, to ensure your experience with us is the best it can be.
We highly recommend that both the bride and groom visit our showroom, and we suggest that you bring any samples of fabric with you that you would like us to coordinate with.
We have select appointment times available, to ensure we have a consultant available to meet with you, however you are welcome to visit us at your leisure. Please note that during the months of July-December, Saturdays can be busy in our formal hire department, which may result in delays if you do not have a prior appointment booked.
Rather than arriving in-store with your entire wedding party, we suggest the bride and groom spend time selecting the outfits together. At that time, we can also discuss requirements for the father of the bride and father of the groom, as well as for ushers and any junior members of the wedding party as required.
Once you have selected garments for the groom and groomsmen, we will need to obtain all the necessary measurements to ensure the perfect fit for each member of the bridal party. We require each man to either visit the store or submit their measurements online, however we strongly suggest they visit us in person if possible. The 2 key sizes we require to book a suit is the actual jacket size and actual trouser rather than a measurement.
A final fitting in-store is required prior to pick-up. Sergios will not accept liabilty for errrors in hired garments without a final fitting.
We recommend booking your wedding outfits at least 4-6 months in advance for December-March weddings, to ensure we can supply the exact garments you have selected.
Upon booking your wedding day garments, we require a deposit to be paid to confirm your selection. The total amount will vary from between $120-250, depending on the exact outfits being hired.
